Construction Update October 2010

Please be advised, the garage will be opening soon, and some of the lots will be redesigned with parking control gates to safeguard your parking spaces. We will have to restructure pricing because of the following improvements:

  1. Paving of M and K5 lots
  2. Installation of improved lighting
  3. Installation of raised valet booths and security cameras in the SOB lot
  4. Opening of the new parking garage

During restructuring, Kings County Parking tried to minimize the price increase while guaranteeing safe reliable parking to all employees. We are happy to offer a discount of $15 to customers that set up automatic billing with a Visa, Discover or Master Card.

B Building

The office will increase its hours, now providing service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We have spoken to the hospital and asked that a drop box be installed for the depositing of checks in the lobby of the B Building.

The Sob lot will return to self parking only, NO VALET PARKING.

The SOB lot will remain open 24 hours a day. It will be staffed at the old valet booths, which are located in the middle of the lot and at the front gate. The front gate is located on Albany and Hawthorne Streets. An attendant will be present from 7am to 7pm, Monday through Friday. In addition, the rear gate of the SOB lot, on Kingston Street, will be restored as an entrance/exit gate.

The following locations will be gate controlled:

  • ABC lot
  • Rear of the R Building
  • Rear of the Mckinney Building

J Lot

The J lot will be closing soon because of the construction of the new buildings that are going to be developed for housing.
